Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee on North and South Vietnam?

This video is funny and cringy at the same time. It’s not immediately obvious what she is talking about and what her confusion is. At first, you might think she is confusing Vietnam and Korea but what she is saying doesn’t make sense for Korea either.

Hilarious! Vietnam War & Korean War is such a basic political distinction… I think she’d wanted to make a speech about North Korea but was too lazy to research *shurgs*

It actually does make sense of Vietnam. They’re technically divided but don’t have a border. When I went to visit, there’s a night and day difference between both regions: the south embracing a democratic ideal whereas the north is a bit more adherent to communist ideas.
