It’s funny and sad at the same time. I’m not sure if this was made for kids or adults either. It likens nuclear reactors to kids with bellyache. It is trying to explain that the reactors are right now farting, but not pooing.

July 18th, 2011 at 11:36 amIt has long been know among reactor researchers that the prevailing reactor design the Light Water Reactor is far from the best possible reactor design. Alvin Weinberg who held the patent on the Light Water Reactor believed that the fluid core Molten Salt Reactor was a far superior design.

March 6th, 2012 at 6:07 pmWhat a cool way to reassure kids that the world is not collapsing in on them. I like the analogy that the problem is not like Chernobyl – which was not only pooping but puking as well. The concept of half-life is too much for kids, but calling it a lingering fart smell is genius! But the best part was telling the kids how to decipher the news – explaining words like containment=diaper, reactor core breach means the reactor is sick and getting medicine( water). And in the end everything will be fixed.
I felt reassured after watching it. I also feel like washing my hands.
